In addition to performing well overall, this nursing home also received a nearly flawless inspection report. Consequently, it received one of our best scores in that category with an A+. Our inspection grades are based on several items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that score well in this area typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this place had a few deficiencies on its inspection report, none of them were major deficiencies based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Short-term Care Quality
This facility also received an A+ for its short-term care score. With our short-term care category, we seek to craft a sound measure for rehabilitation services. In doing so, we look at the facility's levels of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. Remarkably, this nursing home provides about 50% more services from physical therapists and registered nurses than most nursing homes we looked at. This is a very favorable sign. Lastly, we looked at the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that it outperformed the vast majority of facilities in the country in this area with 59.7 percent of its patients returning home.

This nursing home also received an A+ for its nursing grade. Our nursing rating assesses several subcategories, but the primary consideration is the quantity of nurse hours spent with patients. This facility provides an incredible 4.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Out of this total, many of those hours were provided by registered nurses, which is one of the most highly trained levels of nurses. In addition to providing impressive levels of nursing care, this nursing home was also above average in several of the major quality measures we assessed in this category. It performed well in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.

In the last category we scored, this facility was awarded a very favorable grade of A- in our long-term care category. With this grade, the facility completed a straight A profile. After assessing the very impressive nursing hours and other staffing provided by this facility, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination records.
