Short-term care grades are commonly employed to score a nursing home's rehabilitation services In order to have high-end rehabilitation services, facilities generally must offer higher levels of skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and other highly skilled individuals. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Sadly, this grade pulled down the nursing home's overall grade to some degree. For prospective patients seeking a permanent residence rather than skilled nursing, long-term care grades are an important measure. In addition to assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Thankfully, this facility vaccinated 100 percent of its patients, which is a very solid datapoint. To our surprise, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility has fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
