On top of receiving a strong overall score, this nursing home performed well in inspections, which is based on the facility's recent inspection reports. In fact, we gave it an A- for that category. Inspection ratings are based on several datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this category typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This facility was assessed 7 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none of the deficiencies were considered to be major deficiencies. This indicates that the inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies an immediate risk to resident health or safety. We should note that deficiency-free inspection reports are uncommon in this industry.

We also wanted to draw your attention to the fact that this facility was awarded an elite grade of A- in our short-term care category. Short-term care grades are meaningful for individuals needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually utilizes more skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means a broad spectrum of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. However, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The final statistic we assessed in this category is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the facility and return to the community.
