Facility Inspections

Grade: A

With an overall grade this high, it should come as no surprise that this nursing home performed well in the area of inspections, where it earned an A. Our inspection grades are based on several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this area have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. We were not able to track down deficiency counts for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

Adding to its dominant accomplishments in other areas, we awarded this facility a score of A- for its long-term care score. For patients looking for a permanent residence rather than rehabilitation, long-term care grades are a key measure. After assessing the amount of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we next considered the nursing home's vaccination data. This nursing home vaccinated 31.914894 percent of its patients for pneumonia, which is somewhat less than we expected but still a decent figure. While its vaccination rate was a bit lower than we like to see, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

Another one of this facility's impressive category grades came in the area of nursing care. We awarded them one of our better scores in that area, with a grade of B+. In calculating a nursing home's nursing grade, we assess the number of hours nurses spend with patients and the level of skill of those nurses. This nursing home averages 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B

The next area we scored is short-term care, in which this facility received a grade of B. Believe it or not, this turned out to be this facility's worst area. A facility could be doing a lot worse when their worst score still rates higher than most facilities. In the category of short-term care, we strive to qualify measures of a facility's rehabilitation services. We assess the facility's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses and various therapists. Unfortunately, it does not appear that this nursing home submitted data regarding its registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. The final metric we looked at in this area is the percentage of residents who returned home from the nursing home. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.
