Registered Staff Hours
Short-term Care Quality
To go along with its strong overall score, we awarded this facility an A+ for its short-term care score. Short-term care grades are commonly employed to measure a nursing home's rehabilitation services. To have high-end rehabilitation services, facilities generally need to have higher levels of skilled nursing. These types of services include registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other highly skilled individuals. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. However, according to the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The final statistic we looked at in this category is the number of patients who were able to leave the nursing home and return home. We discovered that 6.6 percent of this facility's patients returned home.
Nurse Quality
Among its many impressive grades, this facility received an excellent nursing grade. In fact, we gave it a grade of A in that category. Our nursing grade is largely tied to the nursing home's nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This facility performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a place has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can often be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

Facility Inspections
Another impressive feature of this nursing home is its inspection score. In that area, we awarded this nursing home an A. Our inspection scores are tied to datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that excel in this area tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we were able to find information on deficiency's for this nursing home. We would like to have more data for this nursing home. Without having access to complete deficiency related data, it ended up being difficult to assess the place in this area.
Long-term Care Quality
In the last category we looked at, this nursing home received a very strong grade of B+ in our long-term care category. With this grade, the nursing home finished off an elite report card. For residents in need of a permanent place to live as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care is a very important category. After assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we next considered the facility's vaccination data. This nursing home vaccinated 65.58442 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which happens to be a bit below what we were hoping for but still a reasonably acceptable figure. While its vaccination rate was a bit lower than we like to see, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
