Facility Inspections
Although we didn't rate this facility favorably overall, we did give it an excellent grade in the area of inspections, where it earned an A-. Arguably the most critical factor we look at in computing our inspection scores is deficiencies. Deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. It is generally in your best interest to avoid facilities that had a long list of severe deficiencies. This particular nursing home received 4 deficiencies on its inspection report. Overall, this is still a solid inspection report, but we'd always recommend looking into any deficiencies you find troubling.
Short-term Care Quality
The next highest category we awarded this nursing home in any category came in the category of short-term care, where we awarded it a B-. With our short-term care score, we seek to craft a fair measure for rehabilitation. In this process, we look at the facility's levels of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as speech therapy. Unfortunately, we found that this facility provided fewer registered nurse and physical therapist hours per resident than most other facilities. The final measure we considered in this category is the percentage of patients who who were able to eventually return home from the facility. We found that just 5.6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Long-term Care Quality
Our next area we graded is long-term care, where this nursing home received an F. If you are looking for services other than rehabilitation, you should take a close look at long-term care ratings. On top of assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we looked at the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This nursing home administered the vaccine to 99.53271 percent of its patients, which is better than the vast majority of nursing homes. To our surprise, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility has fewer hospitalizations than many nursing homes. Unfortunately, a few of its other scores in this category were not as favorable as these.
Nurse Quality
The next area we assessed is nursing, where this facility received a bottom of the barrel grade in this area also. Unfortunately, we gave it an abysmal F for this area, which is definitely somewhat alarming. Our nursing rating analyzes quite a few factors, most of which are associated with nursing hours. This place provided a meager 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident each day. This is well below average. On top of receiving below average marks for nursing hours, this place was a bit less impressive in some of the quality-based metrics we looked at in computing our nursing ratings. We looked at the percentage of residents suffering pressure ulcers and found that this facility was at approximately 1.5 times the national average in this metric.
