One of the many reasons this turned out to be a quality nursing home is that it received an A+ inspection grade. This is simply as good as it gets in this critical category. Inspection grades are based on many pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this category typically have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. We were not able to find deficiency data for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Short-term Care Quality

Short-term care grades are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a broad scope of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. However, according to the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the number of patients who returned home from this facility. We found that 6.1 percent of this nursing home's patients were able to return home.
Long-term Care Quality
Switching gears to the final category, this nursing home also performed admirably in the long-term care category. In fact, we gave it an A for this area. This finalized a straight A profile. Nursing homes that excel in long-term care typically are well-staffed and offer extensive hands on care to patients. On top of assessing the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility provided the vaccine to 100 percent of its patients, which is significantly higher than the average nursing home. Lastly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. It had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
