The main reason this ended up being a decent nursing home is that it received an excellent inspection grade. In fact, its inspection score was far superior to its overall score. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

Turning to another strength for this facility, it also earned an elite nursing score. We gave this facility an impressive grade of D. The nursing score assesses several subcategories, but the paramount consideration is the quantity of nurse hours spent with patients. With only 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident on a daily basis, this facility's nurse staffing levels were quite a bit below average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in calculating our nursing scores. This place performed well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls.
