We would like to to draw your attention to this potential weak link, however, you should not over-emphasize one bad area either. For prospective residents seeking a permanent place to live rather than rehabilitation, long-term care is a very important category. One of the criteria we considered in addition to nursing hours was vaccinations. Fortunately, this facility provided the pneumonia vaccination to 99.25926 percent of its patients. Surprisingly, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility had fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in the category were not as favorable as these.
