This nursing home vaccinated 84.84849 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which happens to be somewhat below what we anticipated but still a respectable figure. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its patients out of the hospital. This facility received a very good nursing grade this year as well. It received one of our better scores in that category with a grade of B+. Nursing ratings are heavily correlated with quality and quantity of nursing care. This facility provided 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed several nursing quality-based metrics and this place excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any facility Virginia in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can often be avoided by offering better nursing care, such as employing a system of moving patients more frequently.

In our final area, this nursing home also received an excellent short-term care score, with a B+. This finished off a first-rate report card. Our short-term care scores are based on a facility's quantity of skilled nursing services. This includes a broad scope of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every nursing home employs these skilled professionals.
