Facility Inspections
This nursing home received a strong overall grade as described above, but we especially want to emphasize its excellent health inspections in recent years. We gave it an impressive grade of A in this category. Perhaps the most critical factor we consider in determining our inspection scores is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Places with better scores in this area typically dodged the most severe deficiencies involving health risks or even death. Although this nursing home had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Long-term Care Quality
We also gave this facility a score of A- for our long-term care grade. For prospective residents looking for a permanent place to live as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care is a very important category. On top of assessing the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the number of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home vaccinated 70.29703 percent of its patients. This is slightly lower than we were hoping for. Although its vaccination rate was a bit lower than we hoped for, we were pleased to find place was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Nurse Quality
This nursing home performed well in our nursing category. In fact, we awarded it a grade of A- for that category, which is one of our highest scores. Our nursing score analyzes quite a few subcategories, most of which are associated with nursing hours. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Short-term Care Quality
The last area we rated is short-term care, which proved to be a weak spot for this nursing home. We gave this nursing home a grade of D in our short-term care category, making this the nursing home's least impressive category grade. We'd still recommend that you consider all of a facility's category grades. In computing our short-term care ratings, we assess a nursing home's levels of highly skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other licensed professionals. This grade is more often than not a useful assessment of a nursing home's ability to rehabilitate patients. In this nursing home's case, we found that it provides less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. Lastly, we assessed the number of patients that returned home from this nursing home. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 3.5 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.
