In addition to being a quality nursing home overall, this nursing home really excelled in the area of short-term care, where it earned a grade of A. Short-term care ratings are based in part on a facility's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a vast scope of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, in addition to other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we looked at the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 6.3 percent of this facility's residents returned home.

Adding to its impressive profile, this facility also performed well in the area of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly flawless government inspection report this year. Pressure ulcers can generally be prevented by offering better nursing care, such as having a protocol of moving a patient more frequently.

However, you shouldn't judge this facility solely on a single weak area, since it earned multiple impressive grades in other areas.
