Facility Inspections
On top of being a great nursing home overall, it also earned A+ government inspections recently. Its inspections were nearly perfect. Perhaps the most significant factor we consider in computing our inspection ratings is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places with better grades in this category most likely dodged the more severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we were able to find deficiency data for this facility. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Long-term Care Quality
This facility received impressive scores in the area of long-term care as well. Consequently, we gave it one of our most elite scores in that category with a area of A-. Facilities that excel in long-term care typically provide patients with better supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. On top of considering the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home provided the vaccine to 98.746864 percent of its patients, which is far higher than the vast majority of nursing homes. Clearly, this nursing home is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Nurse Quality
Another one of this facility's impressive category grades came in the area of nursing care. We awarded them one of our better scores in that area, with a grade of B. There are a variety of factors within this area. Most of these subcategories reflect the quantity of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well when it comes to minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Short-term Care Quality
The last category we graded was short-term care. This nursing home was given a better than average short-term care rating this year, with a C. Although this was not as impressive as several of its other scores, this is still an acceptable grade in this area. Our short-term care grade is generally used to measure a nursing home's rehabilitation services. In order to provide high-end rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally must provide better levels of highly skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and other highly trained professionals. Unfortunately, it does not appear that this facility submitted information about its staffing of registered nurses or physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 4.6 percent of this facility's patients returned home. At most nursing homes, closer to half of their residents are able to return home so this figure is below average.
