On top of receiving a great overall rating, this nursing home earned an A+ inspection grade. This score is based on the facility's recent inspection reports. An A+ in this area is one of the highest complements we can pay to a nursing home. Arguably the most important factor we consider in computing our inspection ratings is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Places with higher grades in this category typically dodged the most severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. This facility was hit with 2 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none were considered to be severe. This tells you that CMS did not deem any of the deficiencies to create an imminent risk to resident health or safety. When determining a nursing home's nursing grade, we assess the number of hours nurses are caring for patients as well as the skill levels of those nurses. This nursing home provides 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at several nursing quality measures and this facility excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any nursing home the country in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can frequently be prevented by offering better nursing care, such as having a policy of turning a patient even once per day.

In the final category, this facility also was awarded an impressive long-term care grade, with an A-. This wrapped up an elite report card. Nursing homes that excel in long-term care typically are well-staffed and offer extensive hands on care to patients. One of the criteria we considered in addition to nursing hours was vaccinations. This nursing home administered the pneumonia vaccination to 100 percent of its residents. Vaccination is a proven method to minimize negative health outcomes for the senior population. Finally, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
