Facility Inspections
While we were not complementary of this place's overall performance, it actually received an impressive inspection report this year with few dings from the applicable government inspectors. As a result, it received one of our better grades in that area with a grade of B+. These inspection ratings take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and federal fines. You can find more information about each of these items by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. Although this facility had some deficiencies on its inspection report, none were severe based on CMS' scale. A couple minor deficiencies aren't necessarily the end of the world.
Nurse Quality
This nursing home actually received a decent grade in the area of nursing as well. We awarded it a grade of B- for that category, which is not a bad score. Our nursing score is mostly based on a nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This place provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident on a daily basis. This is a lower figure than we were hoping for. Finally, although this place got docked a bit for nursing hours per resident, it actually excelled in some of our quality-based metrics. With fewer than five percent of its residents experiencing pressure ulcers, it did well in this subcategory.

Short-term Care Quality
Sadly, we gave this facility an F for its short-term care grade. With our short-term care grade, we endeavor to forge a valuable measure for rehabilitation services. In this process, we analyze a nursing home's levels of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. With a score in this range in this area, we weren't shocked to discover that this place was below average in several staffing areas we assess. The nursing home supplied substantially fewer physical therapist and registered nurse hours per patient than most other facilities. The final metric we considered in this area is the number of patients who ultimately were able to return home from the facility. This nursing home struggled quite a bit in this area as well, with just 3.8 percent of its residents returning home. This was quite a bit below average.
Long-term Care Quality
The last area we graded was long-term care. This facility was given a bottom of the barrel grade of F in this category. Nursing homes that do not fare well in this category typically aren't as well-staffed and are lagging in some of the areas of routine healthcare services we assessed. On top of considering the amount of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home provided the vaccine to 70.43011 percent of its residents. This is many points less than what we expected. Surprisingly, this facility was actually decent at keeping its residents out of the hospital. It had just 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. This is its best feature in this category.
