This nursing home boasts a really impressive 4.7 hours of nursing care per patient per day, of which a significant portion was provided by registered nurses. Long-term Care Quality
Adding to its first-rate accomplishments in other areas, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A for its long-term care score. In a long-term care setting, the primary goal is to keep patients healthy and safe. This is different than skilled nursing or short-term care where the goal is to rehabilitate residents. This facility really knocked it out of the park in this area.
Short-term Care Quality
The next area we assessed is short-term care. Contributing to its first-rate resume, this nursing home also excelled in that category. In fact, we gave it a of A- in the category. Our short-term care scores are crucial for prospective residents needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically mandates higher levels of highly-skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means a broad range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. One of this place's strengths is registered nurse hours. We found that it provides more care from registered nurses than most facilities. Lastly, we looked at the number of residents that ultimately were able to return home from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.
On top of its other impressive category grades, we gave this nursing home a B+ for its inspection score. Inspection scores account for several factors included in a facility's inspection report. One key criteria we rely on is the number and severity of deficiencies. Places with better scores in this category typically have very few of these severe deficiencies. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find deficiency data for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
