Facility Inspections
We also would like to emphasize that this nursing home has earned nearly flawless government inspections recently. We awarded them an A in this category. Our inspection scores account for a host of factors found on a nursing home's inspection report. One of the most important criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Places with better grades in this category usually have very few severe deficiencies. This facility was assessed 2 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe. This means that the government inspectors did not deem any of the deficiencies to pose an immediate threat to resident safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Short-term Care Quality
To add to its impressive achievements in other areas, we awarded this facility a grade of A- for its short-term care score. Our short-term care grade is commonly employed to grade a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation. To offer high-end rehabilitation services, facilities generally need to provide higher levels of skilled nursing. These types of services include registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other types of therapists. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. However, according to the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we looked at the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 5.7 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

This nursing home vaccinated 98.89868 percent of its patients against pneumonia. Vaccines are vital to keeping residents healthy. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
Nurse Quality
The final area we graded is nursing, where this facility was awarded a grade of B+. This rounded out a first-rate report card. Only a select few nursing homes earned a B+ or higher in in each area we assessed. The nursing grade analyzes quite a few data points, however, the main one is the quantity of nurse hours spent with patients. This particular nursing home provided 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This place performed better than average in this area. This is often a good indicator that a facility has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can typically be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.
