The primary reason this nursing home received a decent overall score is its impeccable inspections in recent years. We gave it one of our better grades in that area, with an A-. Our long-term care scores are based on a facility's quantity of nursing care. This includes a broad scope of personal care services, ranging from help with activities of daily living to routine healthcare services. Once we concluded our assessment of the volume of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination records. We were pleased to discover that this facility vaccinated 100 percent of its residents for pneumonia. This place also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

We also gave this nursing home a respectable grade in the category of short-term care, where we gave it a grade of C. Our short-term care grade is commonly used to gauge a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation To offer good rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally need to provide better levels of highly skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other types of therapists. Unfortunately, this place was below average in terms of its quantity of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its patients based on the metrics we assessed. The important question is whether this also affected quality of care. The last item we assessed in this area is the number of patients who were able to leave the facility and return home.
