Awards
Registered Staff Hours
Nurse Quality
We also would like to point out that this facility excelled in our nursing category. We awarded them an A+ in this category. Our nursing grade weighs quite a few datapoints, however, the most important one is the level of nurse hours spent with patients. This nursing home provides 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Facility Inspections
Adding to this nursing home's impressive resume, we gave this nursing home an A for inspections. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in determining these inspection grades. One critical factor is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some deficiencies are relatively insignificant. This facility received 4 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none were considered to be severe deficiencies. This tells you that the inspectors didn't deem any of these deficiencies to be an imminent threat to patient health or safety. We should note that deficiency-free inspection reports are uncommon in the industry.

Short-term Care Quality
Contributing to its high-end profile, this facility also was awarded a superb short-term care grade, with a score of A-. In computing our short-term care grades, we assess a nursing home's levels of highly skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other highly skilled individuals. This score is more often than not a solid measure of a facility's rehabilitation services. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the information this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last datapoint we considered in this category is the number of residents who eventually returned home from the facility. We found that 5.3 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.
Long-term Care Quality
In the final category we assessed, this nursing home received an impressive grade grade of B+ in our long-term care category. With this grade, the nursing home topped off a very impressive profile. Long-term care ratings of this caliber generally require both 24/7 care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine healthcare services. In addition to considering the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we also looked at the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This facility gave the vaccine to 100 percent of its patients. Vaccines are vital to keeping patients healthy. Lastly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
