Facility Inspections

Grade: F

This facility did not receive any respectable scores. Its most alarming grade may be its inspection grade, where it received an F. You should pay close attention to any deficiencies on a nursing home's inspection reports when it receives this bad of an inspection score. We would pay close attention to the severity of the deficiencies. This particular nursing home was assessed 5 deficiencies by government inspectors. The only favorable thing we can say is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that suggest they caused a risk to resident health or safety. Lastly, this nursing home was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. This is generally a really bad sign. We would never recommend this facility.

Nurse Quality

Grade: F

One of the other reasons we rated this facility so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing rating. This proved to be its second best category grade. In that area, we awarded this nursing home an F. Nursing grades are primarily based on a nursing home's nurse staffing. With a meager 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident on a daily basis, this nursing home's nurse staffing levels were quite a bit below average. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in computing our nursing ratings. This facility performed well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: F

Additionally, we gave this facility an F in the category of short-term care. In computing our short-term care scores, we quantify the facility's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and other types of therapists. Our purpose is to formulate a tool for comparing the rehabilitation services of various nursing homes. Not surprisingly, we found that this nursing home provides far less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. The final metric we assessed in this category is the number of patients that were able to return home from the facility. This nursing home struggled quite a bit in this area as well, with just 4.4 percent of its residents returning home.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: F

Moving on to the last category, this nursing home did not perform very well in this area either. Due to an abysmal grade of F in long-term care, this is just about as bad as it gets. If you are seeking anything other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at long-term care ratings. One of the factors we considered in addition to nursing hours is vaccines. Thankfully, this nursing home administered the pneumonia vaccination to 99.23372 percent of its residents. To our surprise, this place also keeps its residents out of the hospital. It had just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. Unfortunately, a few of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
