The primary reason this facility received a decent overall grade is its impeccable inspections in recent years. We gave them one of our higher grades in that category, with an A+. This is a much better score than the facility's overall grade, which was decent but not in the elite range. These inspection grades weigh several factors, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. Finally, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. It had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

This facility ended up receiving a bottom of the barrel grade in our short-term care area. It received an F in this category. In our short-term care grade, we endeavor to forge a meaningful gauge for rehabilitation services. In this process, we look at the nursing home's offerings of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as speech therapy. Not surprisingly, we discovered that this place offers substantially less registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than the average nursing home.
