Long-term Care Quality
To pair with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for its nursing grade. Nursing homes that receive this kind of score in this category tend to provide consistent 24/7 care to make sure patients are well cared for. In addition to looking at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the number of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home gave the vaccine to 100 percent of its residents, which is an impressive figure. Pneumonia is often a deadly ailment for nursing home patients so we strongly prefer when a facility does not take any chances. Lastly, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
Facility Inspections
This facility also received a nearly flawless government inspection. As a result, it received one of our highest grades in that category with a score of A+. This was one of the few facilities to receive multiple A+'s. Inspection ratings are based on many datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspections. Nursing homes that receive favorable grades in this category typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Unfortunately, we weren't able to track down deficiency counts for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Nurse Quality
Another reason we rated this nursing home so highly is that it received an A+ nursing grade. This is simply as good as it gets in this category. Our nursing grade includes several factors, however, the most important consideration is the level of nurse hours spent with patients. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Short-term Care Quality
Moving on to the last area, this facility also performed well in the short-term care category. We gave it an A for this area. This finalized truly elite report card. Short-term care ratings are based in part on a nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled nursing services. This includes a vast range of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, not to mention other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every nursing home employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The last measure we considered in this area is the number of residents that ultimately returned home from the nursing home. We found that 5.9 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.
