This facility's best category grade came in our short-term care rating. In that area, we awarded this nursing home a grade of B. In determining our short-term care scores, we scrutinize the facility's levels of highly skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists occupational therapists and other licensed professionals. This category is typically a fair assessment of a nursing home's rehabilitation. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last measure we considered in this category is the percentage of residents who who were able to eventually return home from the facility. We found that 5.1 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.
Facility Inspections
This facility also received favorable inspections in recent years. We awarded them one of our better scores in that category, with a B. Our inspection grades account for a host of factors found on a facility's inspection reports. One of the most important criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Places with higher scores in this area generally have very few severe deficiencies. While this facility had a few deficiencies on its inspection report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. A couple of minor deficiencies should not stop you from considering a nursing home.

Nurse Quality
This facility's next best category grade came in the area of nursing. In that category, we gave this nursing home a grade of B-. In computing a nursing home's nursing grade, we look at the number of hours nurses are caring for patients as well as the level of licensure of those nurses. This facility provides only 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident daily. This is a somewhat concerning figure which is well below average. Lastly, despite not having the highest total nursing hours per resident, this facility actually performed admirably in the area of preventing major falls. This is typically a good indicator that a place has quality controls in place.
Long-term Care Quality
The last area we looked at was long-term care, which was this nursing home's worst category. We gave this facility a grade of D in that category. Facilities that do not fare well in this category typically are not as well-staffed and are lagging in a few of the areas of routine healthcare services we looked at. After we finished assessing the volume of nursing care, we then looked at the facility's vaccination statistics. Frankly, we were a bit worried that this facility vaccinated a relatively low 78.624535 percent of its patients for pneumonia. To our surprise, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home had fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This is its best score in this category.
