Inspection grades are based on pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. In addition, this facility received elite marks in the area of long-term care. Consequently, it received one of our most impressive scores in that area with a score of A+. Long-term care grades in this range generally require both 24/7 care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine medical care. After looking at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then looked at the facility's vaccination records. This facility vaccinated 100 percent of its patients for pneumonia, which is significantly higher than the average nursing home. Finally, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

Nurse Quality

To complement its strong performance in other areas, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Our nursing rating is based on several factors, however, the most important one is the quantity of nurse hours per patient per week. This nursing home provides 0.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in the area of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

On the other hand, according to the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we considered the number of patients that ultimately were able to return home from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.
