You can find more information about each of these factors by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. This nursing home was assessed 6 deficiencies on its inspection report, but none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe deficiencies. Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A

This facility also received a very impressive short-term care score. Indeed, this turned out to be this nursing home's second strongest category score. In that area, we gave this facility a score of A. In computing our short-term care grades, we size up a facility's levels of skilled nursing services, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists speech therapists and other highly trained professionals. This grade is more often than not a useful assessment of the facility's ability to rehabilitate patients. Fortunately, it appear that this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the data this nursing home provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we looked at the percentage of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 6.2 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

This nursing home averages 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

In our final area, we awarded this facility a grade of A for our long-term care grade. This finished off a very favorable profile. Nursing homes that excel in long-term care tend to provide residents with closer supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. After assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we next considered the nursing home's vaccination statistics. This facility vaccinated 97.8836 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is much higher than the vast majority of nursing homes. Clearly, this facility is doing something right in this area as it was able to keep its patients out of the hospital. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
