Facility Inspections
While we were fairly low on this nursing home overall, we awarded it an A+ for our inspections rating. This score is far more impressive than the nursing home's overall score. Our inspection grades are based on many datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are a key thing to look for on these reports. Most importantly, you should avoid facilities that have severe deficiencies associated with endangerment of patients. This place was hit with 5 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none were considered to be severe. This indicates that the government inspectors didn't consider any of these deficiencies to cause an imminent risk to resident safety or health. A few minor deficiencies are not the end of the world.
Short-term Care Quality
This facility was awarded its next best category grade in the area of short-term care. We awarded this nursing home a grade of C in this category, which is an acceptable score. In our short-term care category, we seek to forge a meaningful gauge for rehabilitation services. In doing so, we look at the facility's levels of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. Unfortunately, this place was below average in terms of its quantity of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its residents based on the measures we assessed. The question is whether this adversely impacted quality of care. The last measure we looked at in this area is the number of patients who were able to leave the facility and return home. We discovered that just 0 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home, which is actually below average.

Nurse Quality
This facility's next best category was nursing, but even there it received a grade of just D. This is still a well below average grade. Nursing ratings are based largely on levels of nurse staffing. This particular facility provided a meager 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient on a daily basis. This number is far below the national average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in calculating our nursing scores. This place fared well when it comes to minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.
Long-term Care Quality
The last area we graded is long-term care. This nursing home was given a poor grade of F in that area. Facilities that don't fare well in long-term care often do not provide as much nursing care and also may be lagging in a few of the areas of routine medical care we looked at. After we finished looking at the quantity of nursing care, we turned to the facility's vaccination record. We were a bit concerned this facility vaccinated just 80 percent of its patients for pneumonia. Surprisingly, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home has less hospitalizations than most nursing homes. This was its best score in this category.
