Our short-term care ratings are based in part on the facility's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a broad scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The final datapoint we considered in this area is the number of patients that were able to return home from the facility. We found that 5.5 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

The last category we looked at is nursing, where this facility was awarded a B+. This wrapped up a very impressive profile. Few nursing homes received a B+ or higher in each of our categories. The nursing grade analyzes many components, but the main consideration is the quantity of nurse hours per patient per week. This facility provided 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at several nursing quality measures and this facility excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any nursing home the country in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can many times be prevented by providing better nursing care, such as employing a system of moving a patient more often.
