Facility Inspections
Although we did not rate this nursing home highly overall, we want to draw your attention to its excellent inspections in recent years. We awarded them an A in this category. Inspection grades are tied to several items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are an important item to look for on these reports. Most importantly, you should avoid nursing homes with severe deficiencies associated with risks to resident well being. Although this place had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' scale. A couple minor deficiencies aren't necessarily the end of the world.
Long-term Care Quality
Turning to the category of long-term care, this facility received just a D in that area. Sadly, this proved to be one of its best areas. When facilities receive this type of score in long-term care it is a bad sign for resident care and it may indicate that the place is not as well-staffed with nurses and aids. On top of assessing the amount of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. As it turns out, this nursing home vaccinated a relatively low 60.649822 percent of its residents, which is well below average. Surprisingly, this facility was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home has fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This was its best score in this category.

Short-term Care Quality
Sadly, this nursing home's third best score was short-term care. As it turns out, with a grade of D in this area, it still fared somewhat poorly. Our short-term care scores are meaningful for prospective residents in need of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally mandates more highly-skilled nursing. This includes a vast range of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Given its weak rating in this area, we weren't shocked to find this nursing home offered substantially fewer physical therapist and registered nurse hours per patient than most nursing homes. Finally, we considered the percentage of patients who ultimately were able to return home from this nursing home. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was quite a bit off the national average.
Nurse Quality
The next category we analyzed was nursing, turned out to be this facility's weakest category. We awarded this facility a grade of D in this area. Nursing scores are based largely on levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. In addition to its weak nursing hours, this nursing home received suboptimal marks in several of the quality-based measures we considered in determining our nursing grades. We found that more of this nursing home's residents experienced falls leading to serious injury. We believe that many falls could be avoided with better nursing care. This statistic contributed to this facility receiving a terrible nursing score.
