Grade: A

This nursing home earned a strong overall grade as discussed above, but we especially wanted to emphasize its excellent nursing grade. We gave them an A in this category. Our nursing grade focuses on the facility's nurse staffing levels. We consider both the levels of skill of the nurses and the amount of time spent with patients. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed several nursing quality measures and this nursing home excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any nursing home the state in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can often be prevented by providing better nursing care, such as by employing a system of moving residents more frequently.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B

Contributing to its profile, this facility also received a grade of B for its short-term care rating. This is a well above average score in this category. Our short-term care ratings are based on the facility's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This means a vast range of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, in addition to other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these skilled professionals.
