Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A

In addition to receiving a strong overall score, this nursing home fared well in short-term care. In fact, we awarded it an impressive grade of A for that category, which is one of our best scores. Our short-term care grade is typically employed to gauge a nursing home's performance with rehabilitation. To offer quality rehabilitation services, facilities generally must feature higher levels of skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other types of therapists. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 6.7 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety.
