The main reason this nursing home received a decent overall grade is its excellent government inspections in recent years. We awarded them one of our better grades in that area, with a grade of A+. This is a notably better grade than the place's overall score, which was decent but certainly not elite. Inspection scores weigh a host of factors included in a facility's inspection reports. One key criteria we look at is the number and severity of deficiencies. Facilities with higher scores in this area tend to have very few severe deficiencies. This nursing home vaccinated 100 percent of its patients. Vaccines are vital to keeping residents out of the hospital. Clearly, this place is doing something right in this area as it also excelled at keeping its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Moving on to another strength for this facility, it also earned an elite nursing grade. We gave this nursing home an D. The nursing rating considers many subcategories. The most important one is the quantity of hours nurses spend with patients. This place averaged only 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident each day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in computing our nursing grades. This facility performed well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these metrics to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
