Grade: B-plus

This nursing home received a nursing score which is stronger than its overall grade. We awarded this nursing home an above average grade of B+ in this area. Our nursing score is largely based on the nursing home's nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed several nursing quality measures and this place excelled in some of these areas. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can many times be prevented by providing better nursing care, such as employing a system of moving a resident even once per day.

This place was assessed 2 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none of the deficiencies were considered to be major deficiencies. This indicates that the inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies to be an immediate risk to resident safety or health. A few minor dings aren't necessarily the end of the world.

Short-term Care Quality

This facilities next most favorable area is short-term care. We awarded it a grade of B- in this area. This is basically a middle of the road score in this category. Short-term care grades are based in part on a facility's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a vast spectrum of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, in addition to other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. However, based on the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last measure we looked at in this area is the percentage of patients that were able to return home from the nursing home.
