Facility Inspections
On top of being an elite nursing home overall, this nursing home excelled in our inspections category, where it received an A+. Few facilities performed this well in this category. Our inspection scores account for several factors included in a facility's inspection report. One key criteria we consider is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Places with higher scores in this category generally have few of these severe deficiencies. This facility received 2 deficiencies on its inspection report, but none were considered severe. This means that CMS did not deem any of these deficiencies to cause an imminent threat to patient safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Nurse Quality
One of the other reasons we graded this nursing home so highly is that it received a very impressive nursing rating. Nursing turned out to be its second best category grade. In that area, we gave this facility an A. Our nursing grade assesses the facility's nurse staffing levels. We consider both the levels of licensure of the nurses as well as the amount of time spent with patients. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in the area of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

After assessing the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then looked at the facility's vaccination record. This facility vaccinated 99.23664 percent of its patients for pneumonia. Vaccines are critical to keeping residents healthy. Finally, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
Short-term Care Quality
In our last area, we awarded this nursing home an A+ for its short-term care grade. This finished off an elite report card. Our short-term care scores are based in part on the facility's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a broad scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we looked at the number of residents who who were able to eventually return home from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
