Turning to an additional strength for this facility, we awarded them one of our more favorable scores in our long-term care category as well, with a grade of B+. Facilities that excel in this category tend to provide residents with better supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. This is a proven method to minimize negative health outcomes for the senior population. Finally, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 1.17 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home has less hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes.
Short-term Care Quality
Switching gears to our final area, this facility was given a high-end short-term care grade. While this isn't quite as elite as several of its other scores, this is still one of our more favorable grades we offer. Short-term care ratings are critical for patients in need of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually requires higher levels of skilled nursing services. This includes a broad spectrum of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other types of therapy. We weren't able to locate information about this nursing home's registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. Lastly, we considered the percentage of residents that returned home from this nursing home. We found that it performed respectably in this area with 47.7 percent of its patients returning home.
