Facility Inspections
On top of being a strong nursing home overall, this place really excelled in the area of inspections, where it received an A-. Few facilities fared better in that category. These inspection scores take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies, substantiated complaints and federal fines. You can learn more about each of these issues by reviewing copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. It doesn't appear that we have deficiency data for this nursing home. Short-term Care Quality
This facility really excelled in the area of short-term care, where we awarded it a score of A-. Very few nursing homes performed more favorably in this area. In the category of short-term care, we attempt to evaluate indicators of a facility's rehabilitation. We look at a nursing home's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses and physical therapists. Unfortunately, we weren't able to locate information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. The last metric we assessed in this category is the number of patients that eventually returned home from the facility. We found that 6.4 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the facility on a permanent basis.

Switching gears to our next category, this facility was awarded a respectable nursing score of C. When computing a nursing home's nursing grade, we consider the amount of time nurses are caring for patients as well as the skill levels of those nurses. This nursing home provides 0.7 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Finally, our nursing ratings also consider some quality-focused statistics. We especially like to look at the percent of residents who suffered pressure ulcers and major falls.
