Facility Inspections
Unfortunately, we gave this place some extremely poor grades. This includes an F for its inspection grade. This is a particularly important area. Grades in this range often point to some red flags on the nursing home's inspection reports. For places with bad inspection ratings, you should scrutinize any severe deficiencies found on their recent inspection reports. This particular facility had 3 deficiencies by CMS. The only positive thing we found is that none of its deficiencies were in the categories that suggest that they created a threat to patient health or safety. Finally, CMS cited this nursing home for possible abuse or neglect. Hopefully, its performance improves in the future, but until then we simply can't recommend this facility.
Nurse Quality
Unfortunately, we gave this facility an F for its nursing grade. Our nursing rating is largely based on the facility's level of nurse staffing. This facility provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in computing our nursing grades. This facility fared well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these metrics to be reliable indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality
Unfortunately, we gave this facility an F for its short-term care grade. In forming our short-term care ratings, we analyze the facility's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and other types of therapists. The objective is to devise a scale for sizing up the rehabilitation services of different facilities. Not surprisingly, we found that this nursing home provides far less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. Lastly, we looked at the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that just 3.3 percent of this facility's patients returned home.
Long-term Care Quality
The final area we assessed is long-term care. This nursing home was given a very poor grade of F in that category. Long-term care grades of this caliber generally are a bad sign for the quantity and quality of care provided by nurses and aids, as well as the levels of routine medical care available. After considering the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. Candidly, we were a bit concerned this nursing home vaccinated 53.69775 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which happens to be quite a few points lower than what we were hoping for. Surprisingly, this place actually fared well at keeping its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had just 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. This was its best score in this category.
