Facility Inspections
We are not able to award this place any respectable scores. We especially wanted to point out that it received an F for its inspection rating. An F in this area is particularly alarming because it usually points to red flags on its government inspection reports. For nursing homes with poor inspection ratings, you should focus on any severe deficiencies found on their recent inspection reports. This particular facility was hit with 2 deficiencies on its inspection report. The only positive thing we can say is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that suggest that they created a threat to resident safety or health. Lastly, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that this facility was assessed large government fines in recent years amounting to more than $100,000. This often indicates that a facility's bad track record spanned multiple years.
Short-term Care Quality
Tragically, we gave this facility an F for its short-term care grade. With our short-term care category, we strive to create a meaningful measure for rehabilitation. In doing so, we assess a nursing home's levels of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. With its grade in this category, we were not stunned to find that this nursing home was well below average in terms of the quantity of physical therapy and registered nurse hours offered to its patients based on the data we looked at. Honestly, this was what we expected to find. Lastly, we considered the number of residents who ultimately were able to return home from this nursing home. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was quite a bit off the national average.

Long-term Care Quality
The next area we graded was long-term care. This facility's was given a low-end long-term care score where it was given an F. When facilities receive a score in this range in long-term care it typically means the nursing home did not perform well in our quality measures relating to patient care. After looking at the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination record. Frankly, we were a bit worried that this nursing home vaccinated 48.0597 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which happens to be significantly less than what we were hoping for. To our surprise, this facility actually fared well at keeping its patients out of the hospital. It had just 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. This was its best score in this category.
Nurse Quality
The last category we graded is nursing. Unfortunately, we gave it an F in this category, which is a rock bottom grade. Nursing scores are largely based on a nursing home's nurse staffing. With a meager 0.1 hours of nursing care per patient each day, this nursing home's nurse staffing levels were significantly below the national average. This nursing home also had terrible marks in some of the quality-based metrics to go along with its low nursing hour totals. We looked at the percentage of residents experiencing pressure ulcers. This nursing home was at more than twice the national average in this datapoint.
