Facility Inspections
Although we didn't rate this nursing home favorably overall, we actually gave it an excellent score in the area of inspections, where it received an A. Inspection scores are based on items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are a key thing to look for on these reports. You should especially avoid facilities that have severe deficiencies linked to endangerment of patients. While this place had a few deficiencies on its inspection report, none were severe based on CMS' deficiency scale. A couple minor deficiencies aren't necessarily the end of the world.
Long-term Care Quality
This nursing home's next best area is its long-term care grade, where it was given a B-. For prospective residents in need of a permanent place to live as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care is a very important category. Thankfully, this facility gave the vaccine to 97.99427 percent of its residents, which is a very respectable total. This place keeps its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.

In calculating our short-term care scores, we analyze the facility's levels of highly skilled nursing, which includes registered nurses, physical therapists respiratory therapists and other licensed professionals. This grade is more often than not a reliable assessment of the facility's rehabilitation services. Not surprisingly, we found that this nursing home provides far less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. Lastly, we looked at the number of residents who ultimately were able to return home from this facility. This facility didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 5 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was well off the national average.
Nurse Quality
The last category we assessed was nursing. This nursing home received a rock bottom grade of F in this category. Our nursing grade features several factors. The most important factor is the number of hours nurses spend with patients. This nursing home provided just 0.2 hours of nursing care per resident each day. This is not a very impressive figure.
