Facility Inspections

Grade: A

On top of performing well in its overall grade, this nursing home performed at an even higher level in the area of inspections. In fact, it received a nearly flawless inspection report this year. As a result, it received one of our highest grades in that category with a score of A. Our inspection ratings are based on several datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that score well in this area typically have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this nursing home had a few minor dings on its inspection report, it had zero severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are those found in categories G through L. This tells you that CMS didn't deem any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. A few minor deficiencies aren't necessarily the end of the world.

Nurse Quality

Grade: A-minus

This nursing home performed well in our nursing category. In fact, we awarded it a grade of A- for that category, which is one of our highest scores. Our nursing rating includes several factors. The most important factor is the amount of time nurses spent with patients. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in the area of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-minus

This facility's next most favorable area ended up being short-term care. In that category, we gave this nursing home a grade of B-. Short-term care scores are meaningful for individuals requiring rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically utilizes additional skilled nursing. This includes a broad spectrum of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility employs registered nurses. Not every nursing home employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the number of patients that who were able to eventually return home from this facility. We found that 4.3 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home. This figure was actually quite a bit below average.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B-minus

The final area we analyzed is long-term care. This nursing home was awarded a grade of B- in this category. For residents seeking a permanent place to live as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care grades are an important measure. On top of considering the quantity of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we looked at the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. Thankfully, this facility administered the vaccine to 97.28261 percent of its patients, which is an above average statistic. Lastly, this place was also able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
