Facility Inspections
B-
Historical
While we gave this facility a poor overall score, we gave it a fairly respectable grade in the category of inspections, where it received a B-. This was certainly better than its other categories. We would argue that one of the most important factors in evaluating an inspection report is deficiencies. We especially focus on the severity of the deficiencies. This nursing home received 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none were considered to be severe deficiencies. This indicates that the inspectors did not consider any of the deficiencies to cause an imminent risk to resident health or safety. Finally, CMS flagged this nursing home for possible abuse or neglect. This is not what you want to see. We advise you to direct your search elsewhere.
Nurse Quality
B-
Historical
We awarded this facility a respectable grade in the area of nursing as well, with a grade of B-. There are numerous criteria included in this category. Many of these subcategories are tied to nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 3.5 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing scores. This nursing home performed well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.

Short-term Care Quality
B-
Historical
The next highest category we gave this facility in any category came in the category of short-term care, where we gave it a grade of B-. With our short-term care rating, we seek to craft a meaningful barometer for rehabilitation. In this process, we assess a facility's levels of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. Unfortunately, this nursing home was below average in terms of its number of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its patients based on the measures we assessed. The critical question is whether this also impacted quality of care. Finally, we looked at the percentage of patients who ultimately returned home from this facility and found that this facility performed better here. In fact, this nursing home performed better than most facilities in the country in this area with 52.2 percent of its residents returning home.
Long-term Care Quality
B-
Historical
Our last area is long-term care, in which we gave this facility a grade of B- in this area. Long-term care grades are used to measure a facility's performance as a traditional nursing home, as opposed to focusing on the skilled nursing services provided by a rehabilitation facility. In addition to assessing the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we analyzed the number of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. This nursing home administered the vaccine to 96.71717 percent of its patients. Finally, we looked at the facility's number of hospitalizations. Here we found that this facility had 2.73 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. Unfortunately, this figure was less favorable than its other scores in the long-term care area.
