To pair with its decent overall grade, we gave this facility an A- for its inspection grade. This grade is far better than its overall score. Inspection scores are tied to many datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that score well in this category tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Fortunately, although this place had some minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are ones labeled as categories G through L. This means the inspectors did not consider any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient health or safety. The fact that the deficiencies were relatively minor made us feel better about this inspection report.

Additionally, we also wanted to note that this facility was awarded impressive long-term care marks this year. We gave them one of our more favorable scores in that area, with a B. This proved to be the nursing home's second best score. Long-term care scores of this caliber generally require both 24/7 care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine healthcare services. After we finished assessing the volume of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination statistics. This nursing home vaccinated 97.31544 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is what we like to see. Pneumonia sadly can be a life or death health condition for nursing home residents so we like it when a nursing home does not take any chances. Finally, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.

In addition, we also wanted to point out that this facility received positive short-term care marks in this assessment. We awarded them one of our higher grades in that area, with a grade of B. Our short-term care grade is commonly employed to assess a facility's rehabilitation services In order to offer highly scored rehabilitation services, facilities generally must offer higher levels of highly skilled nursing. These types of services include registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other types of therapists. Unfortunately, we were not able to find registered nurse or physical therapy staffing data for this facility. Finally, we looked at the percentage of residents who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 6.1 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

The next category we scored was nursing. This facility was given a C in this area. We analyzed the qualifications of nurses at the nursing home, as well as the quantity of time those nurses were with patients, in computing our grade in this category.
