We also wanted to point out that this facility has received near flawless inspections in recent years. We awarded them an impressive grade of A+ in this category. Our inspection grades are tied to many datapoints located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this category typically have few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Fortunately, although this nursing home had some minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are those found in categories G, H, I, J, K and L. This means that CMS did not deem any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Contributing to its high-end resume, this nursing home also was given an excellent long-term care grade, with a grade of A. When facilities receive a score in this range in long-term care it typically means it has plenty of staff and is a quality place to live on a permanent basis. In addition to very favorable nursing hour statistics, this facility's vaccination record was first-rate as well. In fact, it vaccinated 100 percent of its residents for pneumonia. This combination proved to be effective as this facility also excelled at keeping its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Adding to its strong resume, this facility also received an excellent nursing score, with a grade of A-. Our nursing grade is largely tied to a nursing home's nurse staffing. This nursing home provides an incredible 4.1 hours of nursing care per resident each day. This is much more care than what is offered by most places. Finally, this nursing home was also above average in each of the major quality measures we assessed in this category.
