Facility Inspections

Grade: A

On top of receiving a quality overall grade, this nursing home also received excellent health inspections in recent years. We awarded it one of our highest scores in that area, with an A. Our inspection ratings weigh several factors included in a facility's inspection reports. One key criteria we weigh heavily is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Facilities with better grades in this category tend to have few severe deficiencies. This place was hit with 5 deficiencies on its inspection report, but none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe. This means that the government inspectors didn't consider any of the deficiencies an imminent threat to patient safety or health. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A

Adding to its strong resume, this facility also excelled in our long-term care category. In fact, we gave it a score of A for that category. When nursing homes receive a score in this range in this category it typically means it's well-staffed and is a quality place to reside on a permanent basis. One of the factors we considered in addition to nursing hours is vaccines. This nursing home provided the pneumonia vaccination to 95.80419 percent of its residents. This is a proven method to minimize negative health outcomes for the nursing home population. Lastly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

This facility is also strong in the area of nursing, where it received a grade of B+. It outperformed most nursing homes in this category. There are a number of criteria within this grade. Many of the factors relate to staffing levels. This nursing home provides 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed several nursing quality-based metrics and this facility excelled in some of these areas. With less than five percent of its residents sustaining pressure ulcers, it performed as well as any facility Nebraska in this category. This is generally a good indicator of quality nursing care. Pressure ulcers can many times be avoided by offering better nursing care, such as employing a system of moving residents more frequently.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B

Moving on to the next area, this nursing home received an extremely favorable short-term care grade. Even though this is not as good as several of its other grades, this is still one of our more impressive scores we offer. In our short-term care rating, we endeavor to forge a valuable gauge for rehabilitation. In this process, we assess the facility's scope of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as speech therapy. We were not able to track down information about this nursing home's registered nurse or physical therapy staffing. Finally, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this facility's residents returned home.
