This place did not receive any favorable grades. Its most alarming grade may be its inspection rating, where we gave it an F. With nursing homes that received this poor of an inspection score, we would scrutinize any severe deficiencies on its inspection report. This particular facility was hit with a category G through L deficiency, which rank among the more serious deficiencies. These categories indicate that the deficiencies found by CMS had the potential to create actual harm to patients. Lastly, we also want to point out that this place was assessed large government fines recently totaling over $100,000. This typically signifies that a bad track record has been an issue for several years.

Among this nursing home's several poor grades was its F in the area of nursing care. Nursing ratings are mostly based on a nursing home's nurse staffing. This nursing home provided only 0.3 hours of nursing care per patient on a daily basis. This is an alarmingly low total. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in calculating our nursing grades. This facility fared well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good measures of the quality of nursing care.

Another concern was the F this nursing home received in the area of short-term care. In the category of short-term care, we endeavor to qualify indicators of a nursing home's rehabilitation. We analyze the facility's skilled nursing services, such as the ones performed by registered nurses and physical therapists. With its score in this area, we were not stunned to learn that this nursing home is well below average in terms of the number of registered nurse and physical therapy hours offered to its residents based on the metrics we assessed. Honestly, this was what we expected here. Finally, we looked at the percentage of patients that ultimately were able to return home from this facility. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was well off the national average.

Switching gears to our fourth area, this facility did not fare well here either. Due to an abysmal grade of F in long-term care, this is really as terrible as it gets. In a long-term care setting, the primary objective is to maintain residents' quality of life and keep them safe. On top of looking at the amount of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we analyzed the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This nursing home vaccinated 98.22222 percent of its residents, which is higher than most nursing homes. Surprisingly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility had fewer hospitalizations than the average nursing home. Sadly, some of its other scores in this category were not as favorable as these.
