Registered Staff Hours
Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home actually received an impressive short-term care score this year. We awarded it a B in this area. Our short-term care ratings are based on the facility's quantity of highly-skilled highly skilled professionals. This means a broad range of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not every nursing home employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The last statistic we looked at in this category is the number of patients who were able to return home from the nursing home. We found that 5.6 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.
Nurse Quality
One of the other reasons we graded this facility so highly is that it received a very impressive nursing grade. This proved to be its second best category grade. In that area, we awarded this nursing home an C. Our nursing score features a number of subcategories. The most important one is the number of hours nurses spent with patients. This nursing home averages just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low figure. Lastly, despite not having the most impressive total nursing hours, this place actually performed admirably in the area of preventing major falls. This is generally a good indicator that a facility has quality controls in place.

Facility Inspections
This nursing home earned mediocre inspections in recent years. We gave them a C in this category. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in calculating these inspection ratings. One of those factors is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of deficiencies is usually more important than the quantity of deficiencies, as some end up being relatively minor. This place was assessed 9 deficiencies on its inspection report, but fortunately none were in categories G through L. This means the government inspectors didn't deem any of the deficiencies to be an imminent threat to patient health or safety. Unfortunately, we also need to draw your attention to the fact that this facility received some government fines in recent years.
Long-term Care Quality
Switching gears to our last category, this facility did not perform very well in this category either. With a bottom of the barrel grade of F in long-term care, this is just about as terrible as it gets. When nursing homes receive this kind of grade in this category it is often a bad sign for resident care and it may mean that the nursing home is not as well-staffed with nurses and aids. After considering the quantity of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination records. Frankly, we were a bit alarmed this nursing home vaccinated just 79.04328 percent of its residents for pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility was actually decent at keeping its residents out of the hospital. Indeed, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. This was its best feature in this category.
