To go along with its favorable overall grade, we awarded this place an A- for our inspections rating. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in determining our inspection ratings. One of those factors is health deficiencies. This nursing home performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a nursing home has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can frequently be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.

This facility is also strong in the area of short-term care, where it was given a score of B+. It outpaced most facilities in this category. In determining our short-term care grades, we quantify the facility's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. The final area we assessed was long-term care. Unfortunately, we gave it a lowly F in this area, which is a poor score. You shouldn't necessarily disregard a facility because of one weak category though. When nursing homes receive this kind of score in this category it is a bad sign for resident care and it may mean that the place is not as well-staffed. Once we assessed the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination statistics. Candidly, we were a bit bothered by the fact that this facility vaccinated 83.58209 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is quite a bit lower than the national average. Surprisingly, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility had less hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. This was its best score in this category.
