Facility Inspections

Grade: A+

In addition to being a great overall grade, this facility also received A+ health inspections in recent years. Its inspections were virtually flawless. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing these inspection grades. One key factor is health deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of these deficiencies is usually more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some are quite minor. Unfortunately, we were not able to locate information on deficiency's for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: A-minus

Adding to its high-end assessments in other areas, we gave this facility a score of A- for our long-term care rating. Nursing homes that receive this kind of score in this category tend to provide consistent around the clock care to ensure residents are kept in good health. Overall this looks like a solid option for long-term care.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

Turning to the next area, this nursing home also received a score of B+ for its short-term care rating. This is a well above average grade in this area. Our short-term care grades are likely most meaningful for people requiring a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically mandates additional highly-skilled nursing services. This means not just nursing, but also physical and respiratory therapy, as well as other variations of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every facility employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

In the final category, this facility also was given a very strong nursing rating, with a grade of B+. This completed an elite profile. In determining our nursing ratings, we weigh both staffing levels and the levels of licensure of the nurses. This particular nursing home provided 0.8 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
