Registered Staff Hours
Short-term Care Quality
Although we gave this facility a terrible overall grade, we awarded it a grade of C for our short-term care rating. In our short-term care assessment, we attempt to create a valuable measure for rehabilitation. In this process, we assess the facility's offerings of highly-skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as respiratory therapy. In this place's case, we were surprised to learn that it actually provides less physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than the average facility. The hope is that this does not adversely impact the quality of care. The final statistic we considered in this category is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the facility and return to the community. We discovered that just 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home, which is actually below average.
Nurse Quality
This facility's second best category was nursing, but even there it received a grade of just D. This is still a well below average grade. The nursing score assesses several components, most of which are based on levels of nurse staffing. This facility offered only 0.2 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in calculating our nursing grades. This facility performed well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers.

Facility Inspections
Unfortunately, this facility received very poor inspection reports in recent years, causing us to give them an F in our inspection category. An F in this area is generally a sign that we found red flags on the facility's inspections. With places that received this bad of an inspection score, we would scrutinize any severe deficiencies on its inspection report. This facility was assessed 7 deficiencies by government inspectors. The only positive thing we can say is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that suggest that they created a threat to resident health or safety. Finally, this facility was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. We would not recommend this facility under any circumstance.
Long-term Care Quality
The last category we rated is long-term care. This facility received a poor grade of F in that category. Facilities that receive this type of grade in long-term care likely don't provide the type of consistent around the clock care that some other facilities provide. On top of assessing the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. Candidly, we were a bit worried that this nursing home administered the vaccine to a relatively low 55.03546 percent of its residents. Surprisingly, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.04 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility had less hospitalizations than most nursing homes. This is its best score in this category.
