Facility Inspections
We also would like to emphasize that this facility has earned excellent inspections in recent years. We awarded them an impressive grade of A in this area. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in computing our inspection ratings. One of those factors is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some of these are relatively minor. While this nursing home had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none were severe based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Nurse Quality
One of the other reasons we rated this nursing home so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing score. In that area, we awarded this facility an A. In calculating our nursing grades, we assess both staffing levels and the training levels of the nurses. This nursing home averages 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Long-term Care Quality
Turning our next category, this facility was awarded an excellent long-term care grade. In fact, it received a grade of A- in that category. This is a reliable method to avoid negative health outcomes for the nursing home population. Lastly, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.
Short-term Care Quality
In the final category we rated, this facility was given an impressive grade grade of A- in our short-term care category. With this grade, the nursing home wrapped up a straight A report card. Our short-term care grades are based in part on the nursing home's quantity of highly-skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a vast spectrum of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this facility provided registered nurse or physical therapist staffing data. Finally, we considered the number of patients who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 5.2 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.
