One of the many reasons this turned out to be a great nursing home is it earned a very impressive grade in inspections. Inspections ended up being its best category. Nursing scores are primarily associated with the nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Compounding its strong resume, this nursing home also was awarded an excellent short-term care score, with a score of A. In calculating these short-term care ratings, we look at the nursing home's skilled nursing services, including those performed by registered nurses, speech therapists, physical therapists and other types of therapists. The objective is to devise a barometer for sizing up the rehabilitation services of different nursing homes. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every facility employs these types of nurses. However, based on the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents who who were able to eventually return home from this facility. We found that 6.1 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.

The final area we scored is long-term care. We awarded this facility an acceptable score in this category, with a grade of C. Even though this isn't as high as a few of this nursing home's other grades, it is still not the end of the world. For prospective patients looking for a permanent residence rather than rehabilitation, long-term care grades are a key measure. In addition to assessing the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we also looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. Fortunately, this nursing home gave the vaccine to 95.454544 percent of its residents, which is a very respectable percentage. Finally, this place was also able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.
